Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking Building Environmental Services Technicians for five posted positions. The role involves routine and detail cleaning of campus buildings including offices, restrooms and student housing, with duties spanning daily maintenance and event-related cleanup.

Applicants should have practical cleaning experience and the ability to perform medium to heavy physical work, with typical shifts Monday through Friday, 11:00pm–7:00am.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
• Some knowledge of cleaning procedures and ability to follow instructions.
• Demonstrated experience in institutional or commercial cleaning and with cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily routine and detailed cleaning of campus buildings and interiors.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and manage trash in offices, lounges, restrooms, classrooms and housing.
• Follow safety rules, read work orders, and respond to emergency cleaning tasks across campus.
