Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University seeks a Bldg Environ Services Tech to clean and maintain the Student Center and related facilities. The role requires routine cleaning, floor care, restroom sanitation, and supply handling to support campus operations.

Work is on-site with night hours (M–F 10pm to 6:30am) and may involve moving furniture and operating heavy cleaning equipment. Candidates should have HS diploma or GED and 3+ years in custodial work or related fields.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred with 3+ years of janitorial/custodial experience or related manual labor.
• Ability to follow instructions and perform medium to heavy physical work.
• Supervisory experience considered a plus and ability to direct other staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of dormitories, offices, and facilities.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and floor care machines.
• Maintain cleanliness and replenishment in restrooms, lobbies, and common areas.
• Follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
