Job summary

The American Red Cross in Kentucky is seeking a Blood Storage & Distribution Technician to receive, process, pack and ship hospital blood products. You will triage orders by timing, pack with temperature control, and maintain product records for traceability.

This full-time, third-shift role runs 4x10 hour days (8:30pm–7:00am). Requirements include a high school diploma and 2 years in regulatory or distribution settings; strong computer, documentation and decision-making skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in regulatory, distribution or manufacturing preferred; or equivalent education/experience.
• Good computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation and decision-making.
• Position may require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products/samples are suitable for release for distribution while meeting production goals.
• Perform inventory management throughout manufacturing and shipping processes.
• Prioritize workload to meet production and customer requirements.
• Enter data for manufacturing, labeling, storage, ordering and shipping; maintain records.
• Analyze information to meet time and quality standards; quarantine nonconforming products.
• May make hospital deliveries as assigned.
