Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Blood Storage & Distribution Technician to receive, process, pack, and ship blood products for hospital orders. You will triage orders by urgency and ensure temperature‑controlled packaging for safe transport.

In this role you will communicate with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors, maintain traceable product records, and possibly perform hospital deliveries. This is a full‑time, third shift position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience in a regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Good computer skills with attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Position may require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, pack and ship blood products for hospital orders.
• Triage orders by date/time and ensure correct temperature‑regulated packaging for safe transport.
• Maintain product records to preserve traceability and support inventory accuracy.
• Communicate with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors; support internal teams.
• May perform hospital deliveries as assigned.
• Perform inventory management throughout manufacturing and shipping processes.
