Job summary

The American Red Cross in Georgia is seeking a Lead Technician to receive, process, pack, and ship blood products for hospital orders, triaging by date and time, ensuring proper temperature control and traceability.

You will train volunteers, supervise operations, and possibly make hospital deliveries; the role requires a high school diploma, 4 years in regulated environments, and a valid driver's license. Schedule Sunday-Thursday 9:00PM - 5:30AM; pay $22.23 per hour plus differentials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Four years’ experience in a regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products/samples are suitable for release and meet production goals.
• Perform inventory management throughout manufacturing and shipping.
• Enter data for manufacturing records and tracking; maintain records.
• Make decisions based on inspection and information from other departments to meet time and quality standards.
• Identify and quarantine nonconforming products and dispose as needed.
• May make hospital deliveries as assigned.
• Lead or supervise staff; participate in training; on-call may be required.
