Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Distribution Technician to receive, process, pack, and ship blood products for hospital orders from Georgia locations. You will triage orders by urgency, select and pack correctly temperature-regulated products, and maintain traceability records across internal teams and external partners.

You will work in a shift that includes the 3rd shift (9:00 PM – 5:30 AM) with required on-the-job training, and compensation starts at $20.21 per hour plus applicable shift

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years' experience in regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation, and good decision-making skills.
• Position may require a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, pack and ship blood products/samples for hospital orders.
• Triage orders by date/time, select and pack products with correct temperature control.
• Communicate with hospital clients, volunteers and vendors; maintain records for traceability.
• Ensure readiness of products for distribution while meeting production goals.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate manufacturing records.
• May make hospital deliveries as assigned.
