Job summary

Hickory House Recovery is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for the 3rd shift (11:00 PM–7:00 AM) in Greenfield, Indiana. The BHT serves as the vital link between clients and clinical staff, supporting the person-centered treatment plan.

Under supervision, the BHT monitors, documents, and assists with treatment activities, adheres to HIPAA, and helps maintain a safe, supportive residential environment. Strong communication and dependability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
• Maintain professional boundaries with clients and follow facility policies.
• Follow directives carefully and maintain client confidentiality.
• Scheduling flexibility, including holidays and weekends, is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own insured transportation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HIPAA-compliant communication about clients in treatment.
• Engage daily with clients to support implementation of the treatment plan.
• Facilitate educational groups for recovery and relapse prevention.
• Assist with residential treatment activities as needed.
• Document all client engagements in the EMR with concise notes.
• Ensure clients attend individual and group sessions and approved outside meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
