Job summary

Keystone Retreat Behavioral Health in Ephrata, PA is seeking dependable Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to provide hands-on support in a fast-paced, recovery-focused environment. In this role you will help maintain a safe, structured setting while supporting clients in their day-to-day recovery journey, monitor behavior, assist admissions, and help with daily living activities.

2nd shift is required: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Valid driver’s license and age 18+ (Required).
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) (Required).
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in behavioral health or substance use preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor client behavior, safety, and well-being.
• Assist with admissions, including screenings and documentation.
• Support detox protocols and take vital signs as needed.
• Transport clients to appointments and approved outings.
• Assist with daily living activities and group support.
• Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques.
• Document observations in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations.
