Job summary

Boca Recovery Center in Huntington, IN is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support the Housing Department in a residential setting. This role emphasizes safety, structure, and client well‑being, requiring compassion, dependability, and the ability to maintain a therapeutic environment for recovery.

Responsibilities include monitoring clients, documenting shifts, performing urine drug screens, observing medication self‑administration, and collaborating with staff to uphold state

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in behavioral health, addiction recovery, or residential care preferred.
• Must be able to stay awake and alert during shift.
• Must have a valid Indiana driver’s license.
• Knowledge of UDS observation and medication self-administration procedures preferred.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support clients and housing operations.
• Supervise client activities and enforce daily schedule.
• Document rounds and client needs; address concerns promptly.
• Observe urine drug screens and medication self-administration; record MORs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness per Indiana Department of Health standards.
• Collaborate with departments, train new BHT staff, and participate in meetings.
