Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Care Technician for part-time night shifts at our Ahoskie, NC facility to support clients in a safe, therapeutic group setting. You will provide informal counseling in the detox center and assist with basic client needs. Entry-level applicants are welcome; a high school diploma or GED is required.

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Entry-level, on-the-job training is provided.
• Peer support certification or CNA certification a plus, but not required.
• Maintain valid state driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles used for work.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a therapeutic and safe group environment for clients.
• Attend to welfare and basic needs of clients and provide informal counseling in the detox center.
