Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Ahoskie, NC seeks a Direct Care Technician for PRN shifts to support a therapeutic and safe group environment while attending to the welfare and basic needs of clients at our facility-based clinic. The role includes informal counseling in the detox center using behavioral techniques and supportive approaches.

Entry-level on-the-job training is provided; a high school diploma or GED is required, and CNA or peer-support certification is a plus.

• Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work

Your Role in Our Mission

As a Direct Care Technician, on the team you will be responsible for providing and maintaining a therapeutic and safe group environment and attending to the welfare and basic needs of clients. You will provide informal counseling in the detox center that involve behavioral techniques, reality therapy, supportive encouragement and socialization skills for the clients.

Schedule

• PRN: 3rd shift, 1130pm-730am or 12am-8am during the week and every other weekend.
