Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with IDD in their homes and community settings. This part-time role involves on-site sleepover duties at a group home in Albemarle, NC, with a $15.00 hourly wage and opportunities for overtime at regional homes.

You will support daily living activities, transportation, scheduling, and documentation while upholding safety and compassionate care. Training is provided, and benefits vary by part-time status.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home of the individual and in the community.
• Assist with everyday tasks: housekeeping, meals, personal care, and employment support.
• Transport client to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Help plan and organize client schedules.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health record system.
