Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support individuals with IDD in a group home setting in Raleigh, NC. This part-time role includes evenings (9 PM–9 AM) with a starting pay of $15.00 per hour.

You will assist with daily living tasks, transportation, and documentation in our health records system. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic housekeeping/ nutrition knowledge, and dependable interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Entry-level, on-the-job training is provided.
• Basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability are a must.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in.
• Assist with housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, cleaning; personal care such as bathing and dressing; and employment support.
• Transport the client to appointments and run errands; help plan and organize their schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health record system.
