Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Care Technician for the night shift at our Facility Based Clinic in Ahoskie, NC. This part-time role involves creating a safe, therapeutic group setting and addressing clients’ basic needs, with counseling support in the detox center.

The position offers on-the-job training, potential CNA or peer-support certifications, and a flexible schedule with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Entry-level, on-the-job training is provided.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Peer support certification or CNA certification is a plus, but not required.
• Maintain valid state driver’s license and auto insurance for work-related use.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain a therapeutic and safe group environment.
• Attend to welfare and basic needs of clients in the detox center.
• Provide informal counseling using behavioral techniques and supportive encouragement.
