Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital in Chicago seeks an Admissions Counselor to facilitate admissions, conduct clinical intake assessments, and coordinate utilization review to ensure the right level of care and optimal patient benefits.

Night shift 7 pm to 7 am, 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends. Compensation is $26-$34 per hour. Requirements include a Master’s degree in a social services field or an RN license, plus CPR and de-escalation training.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a social services field or RN licensure is required/strongly preferred.
• Experience in mental/behavioral health settings is preferred.
• Ability to develop therapeutic relationships with patients and families.

Responsabilités

• Respond to inquiries about the facility within policy timeframes.
• Perform benefit eligibility to ensure active patient benefits at admission.
• Coordinate admission and transfer between referral sources and levels of care.
• Complete pre-admission assessments and communicate disposition recommendations.
• Admit patients in the registration system and complete forms with patients.
• Demonstrate empathy and professional attitude toward customers and protect patient safety.
• Coordinate care for patients not admitted and ensure follow-up referrals.
