Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System, Boise, ID, is seeking a Full-Time Bed Control Nurse for the System-Wide Patient Access Transfer Center. You will coordinate admissions and transfers to the most appropriate beds, liaise with physicians, and arrange transport including Life Flight and robotic consults.

The role requires an RN license, 2+ years of RN experience, BLS; ACLS/PALS may substitute for BLS. A BSN is strongly preferred, and two multistate licenses must establish Idaho residency within 60

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• Multistate licenses must establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 60 days from hire.
• Oregon RN license withing 90 days of hire may be required.
• Acute care, critical care, or MS experience required.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• Two years of Registered Nurse experience required; BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate placement of inpatients to appropriate beds across units.
• Coordinate inter-facility transfers and arrange transport (air/ground).
• Contact physicians for outside consults and facilitate communications with ED, managers, and coordinators.
• Utilize Forefront and Central Logic for physician search and paging; support bed turnaround and surge planning.
• Prepare periodic reports on bed placement issues and participate in committees as needed.
