Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a Full-Time Bed Control Nurse for night shift to coordinate admissions and transfers across care units. The role ensures patients are placed in the most appropriate bed and supports physician consults and transport coordination with Life Flight and robotic systems.

The position emphasizes coordination, communication with physicians and units, and active participation in bed planning to maintain optimal census and care delivery.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Multistate licenses must establish Idaho residency within 60 days from hire.
• Oregon RN license within 90 days of hire date.
• Acute care/critical care or MS experience required.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• Minimum of two years RN experience.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS.

Responsibilities

• Know bed availability on all care units and coordinate inpatient placement.
• Navigate robotic consult protocol.
• Coordinate outside physician consults and patient transport.
• Communicate with managers and nurses to maintain admissions capacity.
• Enter calls from outlying facilities into the Forefront system.
• Participate in bed briefings and surge/intervention planning.
