Job summary

Zanesville Baking Co. is hiring an experienced Assistant Production Supervisor to support the production floor on the 3rd shift. You will oversee two lines, ensure product quality, and maintain compliance with GMP and FSMA standards, while guiding production associates and coordinating with supervisors.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience in production.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Self-directed and able to work without close supervision.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce a quality product meeting Safety, FSMA/BRC, and Customer regulations.
• Coach, train and develop associates on shift.
• Establish efficient production processes for all product lines.
• Ensure QA/FSMA/BRC compliance and housekeeping.
• Lead LEAN manufacturing activities (kaizen, 5S) and GEMBA walks.
• Review schedule with line associates before shift start and communicate changes.
