Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Main PACU in Mineola, NY, to provide clinical leadership during night shift and support quality patient care and staff development. This role collaborates with interprofessional teams to uphold NYULH's mission of service, teaching, and discovery.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, has 2 years of nursing experience, and an active NY RN license with BLS.

Qualifications

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required.
2 years of experience required.
Current Registered Nurse licensure in New York State.
Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Monitor attendance of staff and ensure appropriate staffing and skill mix.
Coordinate care delivery and assignment of staff based on patient care needs.
Assist in scheduling, payroll, and integrating services across the care continuum.
Provide direct patient care as needed to support clinical operations.
Communicate significant patient care issues and concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
