NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Main OR, Days. This leadership role provides clinical guidance for a designated shift, partnering with the nurse manager to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and efficient unit operations.

The ideal candidate will hold NYS RN licensure with a BSN, plus a master’s degree in nursing preferred, and demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and staff development skills to support clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in New York State.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
• 2 years experience in a relevant clinical setting preferred.
• Clinical certification in the patient population served or nurse leader certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and management for a designated shift.
• Collaborate with interprofessional team to ensure quality and safety.
• Assist nurse manager with staffing, scheduling, and staff development.
• Support accreditation, regulatory standards, and policy implementation.
• Lead staff development, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Participate in interviews and onboarding of new staff.
• Deliver direct patient care as needed to support unit operations.
