Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Mineola, NY, seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Main PACU, Nights. The role provides clinical leadership and shifts-based management to ensure high-quality patient care within the nursing service.

You will collaborate with the nurse manager on staff selection, onboarding, orientation, and performance evaluation, while supporting student rotations and partnership with school affiliations.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in New York State.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
• 2 Years experience required.
• Clinical certification in the patient population served or nurse leader certification.
• Ability to apply nursing process toward achievement of specific outcomes in an organized fashion.
• Evidence of excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, critical thinking, problem solving, and leadership skills.
• Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.
• Physical stamina, dexterity, and strength to perform responsibilities.

• Maintains licenses, certifications, and mandated trainings for unit staff.
• Leads efforts in nursing research, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
