Job summary

onsemi seeks an Automation Technician – AMHS (Night 2 Shift) at the Hopewell Junction site to maintain and troubleshoot automated material handling systems in a semiconductor fab. You will help ensure continuous material flow, respond to alarms, and perform preventive maintenance in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends/holidays as needed.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn factory systems.
• Ability to lift and handle components up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on AMHS equipment (conveyors, OHT systems, stockers, sorters, FOUP transport).
• Respond to equipment alarms and resolve faults to minimize downtime.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities per SOPs.
• Monitor system performance and ensure continuous flow of materials across the fab.
• Support recovery from system interruptions and perform system restarts.
• Assist with equipment calibration, adjustments, and upgrades.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with cleanroom standards.
• Log maintenance activities and equipment status in tracking systems.
