Job summary

Onsemi is seeking an Automation Technician – AMHS (Night 2 Shift) for the Hopewell Junction site. This role supports the operation, maintenance, and reliability of Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

The Automation Technician is responsible for ensuring continuous material flow by maintaining and troubleshooting automated transport systems, including FOUP handling, conveyors, stockers, and overhead hoist transport (OHT) equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating or maintaining automated material handling systems in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Strong focus on safety and 5S principles.
• Ability to work in 24/7 production with rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot AMHS equipment to ensure continuous material flow.
• Monitor FOUP handling, conveyors, stockers, and OHT to minimize downtime.
• Follow safety protocols and contribute to operational excellence.

The Automation Technician is responsible for ensuring continuous material flow by maintaining and troubleshooting automated transport systems, including FOUP handling, conveyors, stockers, and overhead hoist transport (OHT) equipment. This position plays a critical role in minimizing downtime and supporting overall factory throughput.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and experienced in working with automated systems in a high-tech manufacturing setting. Success in this role requires a strong commitment to safety, 5S principles, and operational excellence , along with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 production environment.

Schedule

• N2 Shift: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, every other Saturday 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

• Sign-on Bonus: $5000
