Job summary

St. John’s Ministries in Green Bay is seeking an Overnight Shift Lead to oversee shelter operations during the overnight and morning hours, ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for guests. You will assist guests, monitor behavior, complete intake forms, and enter data.

The role includes leading a small staff, managing the med room, documenting issues, and handling routine tasks as needed to support the night team.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals experiencing homelessness and co-occurring disorders preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to lead a team and work with others.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Comfort working independently and managing time.

Responsibilities

• Assist shelter guests with needs and concerns.
• Monitor guest behavior and deescalate potentially threatening situations.
• Complete intake forms with new guests presenting to shelter.
• Enter data into the computer system.
• Lead a team of 1–3 staff; check in with staff and assist when needed.
• Staff the med room and manage meds overnight.
• Enter detailed notes of guest issues and refer concerns to leadership.
• Engage and build rapport with shelter guests.
• Fill donation requests, do laundry and complete other tasks as needed.
