San Antonio Zoo is seeking a Security Shift Lead for night shifts in San Antonio, TX. This full-time role oversees Security Officers and Dispatch, coordinating daily operations and ensuring safety and guest security across the Zoo.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in security with leadership experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and DPS Level II registration. Responsibilities include incident reporting, briefings, and emergency response coordination with local agencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible security experience with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Texas DPS Non-Commissioned Security Officer Registration (Level II) required.
• Must be 18 years or older with a clean driving record.
• Ability to speak English and report emergencies clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of Security Officers and Dispatch personnel.
• Conduct shift briefings and assign posts.
• Monitor posts, radio, CCTV, alarms, and dispatch activities.
• Coordinate emergency responses with police, EMS, and other agencies.
• Prepare incident reports and maintain documentation.
• Lead daily security operations and ensure policy compliance.
