Qualifications

• State or municipality mandated security officer licenses (20 Hour Security Training Certificate and PERC Card).
• Reliable means of communication and transportation.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and neat, professional appearance.
• Ability to write routine correspondence, log entries and incident reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional demeanor and aid customers, employees, visitors, and guests.
• Maintain a visible presence in the facility and monitor the environment for suspicious activity.
• Greet individuals and answer phones professionally.
• Monitor entrances and exits, enforce policies within scope of the position.
• Perform patrols on foot or in vehicle and observe for theft or safety issues.
• Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities as directed.
• Follow emergency action plans and monitor alarms and security systems.
