Job summary

Harvard Protection Services in Chicago provides security and life safety services for clients and properties. Our Officers deliver professional customer-focused security, monitor premises, and respond to incidents to protect people and property.

The role requires valid security licenses, reliable transport, and strong communication. You will greet visitors, control access, patrol assigned areas, and complete clear, consistent incident reports.

Qualifications

• State or municipality mandated security officer licenses (PERC Card and 20 Hour Security Training Certificate).
• Reliable means of communication and transportation.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and a neat, professional appearance.
• Ability to write routine correspondence, log entries and incident reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional demeanor and assist customers, employees, visitors and guests.
• Maintain a visible presence in the facility and monitor the environment.
• Respond to alarms, monitor systems, and follow emergency procedures.
• Escort authorized persons and enforce facility policies within position limits.
• Document accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities with reports as directed.
