Job summary

Hyatt Regency Columbus is seeking an Overnight Security Officer to safeguard guests and colleagues while delivering first‑class service during the night shift. Typical hours are 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM with weekend coverage; second shift coverage may be required on occasion.

You will patrol, respond to emergencies, coordinate with hotel departments, and help with front desk or housekeeping tasks as needed. A background in security in upscale environments and strong guest service orientation are

Qualifications

• Security experience in an upscale environment is preferred.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
• Ideal applicant should have strong organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a team oriented environment.
• Capable of standing for long periods of time and constantly walking for patrols.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Unafraid of customer service related tasks and responsibilities.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, and third shift, ability to cover second shift occasionally is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the oversight of safety and security for hotel guests and colleagues.
• Strong guest service orientation in order to ensure high guest expectations.
• Respond to guest and colleague emergencies and requests.
• Act as liaison between security and other hotel departments.
• Train hotel staff as needed.
• Other duties may include assisting the front desk and housekeeping as needed with guest requests and concerns.
• Provide guests with a safe and caring environment and ensure interactions with guests result in a positive experience.
• Support other operating departments as needed
