Job summary

Milwaukee Rescue Mission is seeking a full-time Guest Safety Associate for the Safe Harbor – Division for Men. This 3rd shift role provides physical security and guest care in a Christian environment.

The position runs 10:00pm-6:00am with potential weekend hours, located at Central Campus in Milwaukee. A mature Christian character, high school diploma, and prior security experience are desired, along with First Aid/CPR/AED certification readiness.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian man with a servant's heart able to relate to a diverse population.
• High School diploma or GED required; security experience preferred.
• First Aid, CPR and AED certifications preferred; willing to be certified within one year of hire.
• Strong conflict resolution skills to de-escalate volatile situations with patience and tact.
• Able to navigate industry software; good report writing and communication skills.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work a 3rd shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of the Mission, its people and properties.
• Ensure guests understand and follow premises rules and regulations.
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections identify damage and security risks.
• Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Disrupt potential volatile situations and act to defuse them.
• Assist in removing disruptive or suspicious individuals when necessary.
• Perform first aid and/or life saving measures if required.
• Conduct breathalyzer tests as needed.
• Coordinate with emergency personnel for high risk situations.
• Identify and report security or maintenance concerns.
• Assist Guest Care Team as needed.
