Methodist Health System is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide adult and neonatal respiratory care, including ABG, PFTs, and ventilator support, in accordance with department policies. You will assess and treat patients across age groups under medical direction.

The position offers 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) within a Magnet-designated system. Texas licensure, NBRC registration, BLS, ACLS are required; NRP/PALS within 1 year of hire.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required.
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.

Aufgaben

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy, and ventilation support.
• Performs prescribed diagnostic procedures: ABG, pulse oximetry, PFTs, ECG.
• Prepares treatment evaluations with bedside assessment and chart review.
• Interprets CXR, ABG, and PFT data when reviewing patient information.
• Assembles, checks, operates, and troubleshoots CP equipment and supplies.
• Supports infection control, safety, and quality assurance efforts.
• Maintains and cleans cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas.
• Uses effective patient scripting to improve satisfaction.
• Performs other duties as required.

Ausbildung

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program

Texas Medical Board license (Respiratory Care Practitioner)

Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

NRP / Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year of hire
