Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center in Dallas–Fort Worth area seeks an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM). Responsibilities include ventilator support, ABG analysis, PFTs, oxygen and aerosol therapies, and airway maintenance.

Must hold Texas RCP license, NBRC credential, BLS/ACLS, and obtain NRP/PALS within 12 months. Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of experience or are recent graduates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required.
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Texas license in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience preferred; new grads encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration and weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy.
• Performs arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function tests, ECG.
• Prepares a treatment evaluation with bedside respiratory assessment and chart review.
• Interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT data when reviewing patient information.
• Assembles and troubleshoots cardiopulmonary equipment and supplies.
• Supports infection control, safety and quality assurance initiatives.
• Maintains equipment and work areas; supports patient satisfaction.

Respiratory Care Program diploma

Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license

NBRC certification
