Job summary

Highpoint Health Winchester with Ascension Saint Thomas is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Women's Services Labor & Delivery team. This full-time night shift role features a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a 3x12 schedule (7p–7a) with rotating weekends.

The RN will provide direct patient care, care planning, and education to mothers and families in a supportive OB environment. Applicants should hold a Tennessee or compact state RN license and an associate's degree in nursing; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires Tennessee or compact state RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Performs plan of care, including medication administration and treatments.
• Documents patient care documented.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Collaborates across disciplines for patient care, transfer and discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education.
• Advocates for patients' physical and emotional well-being.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
