Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Women’s Services on the night shift (7p-7a) with a 3x12 schedule and rotating weekends/holidays. A $10,000 sign-on bonus for new grads and a $20,000 sign-on for eligible night-shift RNs with a 2-year commitment are available.

The role requires an active NC or compact RN license, BLS within 30 days, ACLS and PALS within six months, and at least one year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina or compact state RN license required.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• Must have critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Document medical necessity timely and accurately in the medical record.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate quality improvement assessments.

Skills

Active NC/Compact RN license

AHA BLS within 30 days
