Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking an RN Supervisor for the Med/Surg/Tele unit (SD - OLGMC 9C Med Tele) on the night shift (7P-7A). The role provides leadership at the point of care, coordinating care with licensed nurses and patient care technicians, and ensuring adherence to nursing protocols and quality standards.

Required RN licensure and at least 1 year of RN experience in a relevant setting; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license in the state of practice.
• Experience supervising nursing staff and coordinating patient care is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications, starts IVs, and discharges patients with the care team.
• Organizes, plans, supervises, and provides coordinated patient care within the unit.
• Supervises, develops, and evaluates assigned nursing staff and patient care technicians.
• Promotes adoption of nursing protocols and evidence-based practice.
• Manages shift staffing and collaborates with leadership to resolve issues.
