Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med-Surg/Tele/SD expansion at OLGMC 9C. This full-time night position involves leading patient care using the nursing process, coordinating with licensed and auxiliary staff, and ensuring quality patient outcomes in a diverse environment.

Required RN license in the state of practice and BLS certification; nursing diploma required, with preferred associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Qualifications

• Must hold current RN license in state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Uses nursing process to deliver patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse patients and groups.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources; lead interdisciplinary team.
• Use data to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes.
• Support patient privacy and cultural sensitivity; align with department goals.
• Adapt communication to patient population and consent processes.
• Perform other related duties as required.
