Job summary

Ochsner Health System in Lafayette, LA is seeking an experienced RN for the OLGMC 6C Med Tele night shift. You will lead nursing activities, apply the nursing process, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN licensure and BLS certification is required; BSN is preferred. This role emphasizes patient education, care coordination, and adherence to standards of practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in state of practice; BLS certification.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Night shift: 6:45pm–7:15am.
• RN leadership responsibilities within med/surg telemetry unit.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies for diverse patient populations.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources within interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes.
