Job summary

The RN will administer medications, coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, and participate in discharge planning while maintaining high safety standards and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma required.
• Florida RN license or endorsement.
• AHA BLS required prior to start date.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in EMR documentation and patient records.
• Commitment to quality and patient safety improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and effective nursing care based on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs across the care continuum.
• Administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care activities per Health First policies.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, participate in rounds, and support discharge planning.
• Uses critical thinking to identify changes in patient condition and initiates appropriate interventions.
• Educates patients and families using teach-back to promote engagement and safe transitions.
• Adheres to safety protocols and infection prevention practices to protect patients and Associates.
• Utilizes Health First EMR and other technology to document care plans.
• Participates in quality improvement, patient safety, and HRO initiatives.
• Supports precepting and onboarding of new Associates and students.
• Promotes bedside communication and rounding practices.
