Job summary

Health First in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver direct and indirect patient care in a collaborative, safety‑driven environment. You will use the nursing process to promote optimal outcomes and engage patients and families in their care.

The RN will coordinate care across disciplines, administer medications, participate in rounds, and support discharge planning while educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma required.
• Florida RN licensure or endorsement required.
• BLS certification prior to start date.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and effective nursing care based on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Administers medications and documents care per policies.
• Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team; supports discharge planning.
• Applies critical thinking to respond to changes in patient condition.
• Educates patients and families using teach-back for engagement and safety.
• Follows safety protocols and infection prevention practices.
• Utilizes EMR systems for documentation and care plans.
• Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Supports precepting and onboarding of new associates and students.
• Promotes bedside rounding and effective communication at the point of care.
