Job summary

AdventHealth in Davenport, Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift. The role focuses on comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care plans, medication administration, and family education.

The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document thoroughly, and participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives while adhering to infection control standards. AAS in Nursing is required; BSN preferred and current RN licensure with BLS.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN licensure required; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, development, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; evaluate and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate care and ensure effective teamwork.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and interventions.
• Evaluate care outcomes and adjust plans to improve health results.
• Ensure infection control and safety protocol compliance.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate nursing care within the team to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond to code situations promptly with appropriate interventions.
