Qualifications

• RN license required and active in Florida.
• BLS CPR certification required; ACLS and PALS required.
• Associate’s degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 5+ years of clinical nursing experience preferred; hospital experience preferred.
• Cerner documentation experience preferred; proficiency with Electronic Health Records.

Responsibilities

• Manages assigned direct reports including recruitment, hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, development, education, competencies, performance evaluations, and payroll functions.
• Promotes a culture of psychological safety where team members feel supported, valued, and empowered to speak up and contribute meaningfully.
• Provides ongoing education and training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels.
• Prepares the unit for audits and surveys, monitors compliance with regulatory standards, accrediting, and hospital policies.
• Manages nursing staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal patient care.
• Conducts regular staff meetings to communicate updates and provide guidance.
• Assists in developing, implementing, and evaluating ongoing service programs to ensure quality nursing and patient care.
