Job summary

Regional One Health is seeking a PRN Night RN for the Medicine Stepdown unit in Memphis, TN. The role provides professional nursing care using the nursing process, with a twelve-week float pool assignment and patient-focused care.

You will perform assessments, document care, and collaborate with physicians, patients, and families to achieve established outcomes while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing school/program Required
• Qualified to work with neonatal to geriatric patient population as specialty dictates Required
• RN - Registered Nurse licensure TN Upon Hire Required
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• BLS Upon Hire Required
• Additional license/certification may be required based on area of assignment Upon Hire Required
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse Required

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care according to medical regime and nursing interventions appropriate for patients.
• Initiates assessments per patient needs and physician diagnoses.
• Collects information from patient, family, labs and reports.
• Determines nursing diagnoses and priorities including discharge planning and education.
• Documents assessment findings and care plans.
• Demonstrates competency and critical thinking to meet patient needs.
• Performs rounds, ongoing assessments, and revises priorities accordingly.
• Administers medications and supports patient safety practices.
• Maintains patient records and uses computer systems to update data.
• Collaborates with patient, family and hospital staff to coordinate care.
