Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for 36 hours per week on a 3rd shift (7pm-7am) with every weekend required at the Park Ridge location. This full-time position offers 0.9 FTE scheduling and weekend differential opportunities.

Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive respiratory care, ventilator management, and patient education under licensed supervision; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
• Respiratory Therapist licensure and NBRC credentials expected within stated onboarding window.
• Ability to operate ventilators and use EMR/workstation software.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive respiratory care per policies.
• Administer therapies and procedures with evidence-based practice and physician orders.
• Operate ventilators and monitor patient response while maintaining safety.
• Educate patients on therapy goals, self-care, and disease management.
• Maintain equipment and report safety events promptly.
