Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL seeks a Respiratory Therapist for 0.9 FTE night shifts (3 x 12-hour shifts weekly, 7pm-7am) with every third weekend. Full benefits, sign-on bonus $5,000, loan forgiveness up to $20,000 and tuition assistance up to $20,000 are offered.

The role supports patient assessments, ventilator care, and therapies in diverse care settings. Experience not required; graduates with an Associate degree in Respiratory Care are eligible.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program with a minimum associate degree.
• Licensure: RCP in state plus NBRC credential (RRT or CRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Utilize respiratory therapy procedures to assess patients with diverse needs.
• Operate ventilators and assist with bedside procedures as needed.
• Administer prescribed therapies and monitor patient response.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safety and proper function.
• Educate patients and collaborate with care teams for optimal outcomes.
