Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide a range of respiratory therapies and diagnostics for both adults and neonates. Duties include ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, and airway management, under indirect supervision of the medical director.

The role requires an accredited Respiratory Care Program graduate, NBRC-registered RRT, Texas licensure, and BLS/ACLS; NRP/PALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required.
• NRP/PALS must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Texas license to practice Respiratory Care in good standing.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsabilidades

• Performs respiratory therapies including oxygen administration, aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, chest physiotherapy, CPR and mechanical ventilation.
• Performs and reports cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures (ABG, pulse oximetry, PFTs, ECG).
• Prepares treatment evaluations with bedside assessment, patient interview and chart review.
• Interprets CXR, ABG, and PFT data when reviewing patient data.
• Assembles, checks, operates and troubleshoots CP equipment (ventilators, oxygen analyzers, delivery devices).
• Participates in infection control, safety and quality assurance tasks.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance of cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas.
• Uses patient-centric scripting to improve satisfaction.
• Performs other job duties as required.
