Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, TX seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to perform ABG, PFTs, and various ventilator support and airway therapies. You will assess adults and neonates under supervision and adhere to department policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program
• Current Basic Life Support certification required
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support — must obtain within 1 year of hire
• Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, aerosol therapy, humidity therapy and chest physiotherapy.
• Performs and reports arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, PFTs and ECGs.
• Prepares treatment evaluations with bedside assessment and patient interview.
• Interprets CXR, ABG, and PFT data when reviewing patient data.
• Operates and troubleshoots CP equipment—ventilators, oxygen analyzers, and gas delivery devices.
• Maintains infection control, safety and quality assurance in care delivery.
• Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of cardiopulmonary equipment and workspaces.
