Job summary

Methodist Midlothian Medical Center in Midlothian, TX is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide ABG analysis, PFTs, and ventilator support for adults and neonates. You will manage oxygen and aerosol therapies, airway maintenance, and related respiratory care under indirect supervision of the medical director.

The role requires BLS/ACLS, Texas license, RRT certification, and at least 6 months of experience.

Qualifications

Current Basic Life Support certification required.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.
NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support— must obtain within 1 year of hire.
Licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board.
Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
At least 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy, and airway maintenance.
Performs and reports cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures (ABG, pulse oximetry, PFTs, ECG).
Prepares treatment evaluation including bedside respiratory assessment and chart review.
Interprets CXR, ABG, and PFT data when reviewing patient data.
Assembles, checks, operates and troubleshoots cardiopulmonary equipment and monitors.
Participates in infection control, safety and quality assurance activities.
Performs cleaning and maintenance of cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas.
