Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan is seeking a Part-Time Respiratory Therapist for midnight shift (6pm–6:30am), Monday–Friday with every other weekend. You will provide respiratory therapy per physician orders and work with an interdisciplinary team to support patient care.

The role requires graduation from an accredited RT program, NBRC and Michigan licensure within stated timeframes, BLS certification, and ongoing professional collaboration with nurses and physicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• NBRC credential obtained within 6 months of hire date or job transfer date.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed by the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care within 3 months of hire date or job transfer date.
• Certified BLS Provider (AHA) obtained within 1 month of hire date; or Certified Instructor.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient cardiopulmonary status and interprets data.
• Collaborates with physicians and nurses on therapy plans.
• Administers modalities such as SVN, IPPB, CPT, USN, IS.
• Delivers oxygen therapy using nasal cannula, masks, and specialized devices.
• Performs blood gas sampling and analysis; manages airway care and ventilator settings.
• Educates patients and families about respiratory therapies and safety.
