Job summary

Great Lakes Management Co. in Maplewood, MN is seeking a Resident Assistant for every other weekend, 10pm-6am. This on-site role supports residents with daily living activities and provides compassionate care in a nursing or assisted living setting.

The position offers evening and overnight hours with shift differentials and benefits such as a 401(k) match. Experience in long-term care and CNA certification are preferred, along with strong communication and teamwork skills to engage residents

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living is preferred.
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred.
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in the resident's best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs as indicated in the service agreement.
• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of independence.
• Provide residents with physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• Observe clients and report changes in physical and emotional condition to the case manager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
