Job summary

Recovery Centers of America is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) to join the patient care team. You will provide direct support to individuals in treatment for substance use disorders, helping maintain a safe, structured environment during evening and overnight hours.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients, safety checks, and documenting rounds; partnering with clinical staff; supporting the RCA curriculum; and upholding confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in addiction services or behavioral health preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with behavior modification techniques and 12-step recovery principles.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient activities, provide safety checks throughout shift, and complete documentation (rounds sheet, End of Shift reports).
• Participate in direct patient care, ensure patient safety, and assist with patients' daily schedule.
• Partner with Clinical staff to conduct a welcoming New Patient Orientation.
• Aid in facilitating and presenting the RCA Clinical Curriculum with notes in the medical records system.
• Understand the principles of 12-Step Programs and how they apply to recovery.
