Amrize is seeking a Night Maintenance Mechanic for the Rockville, MD quarry to inspect, repair, and maintain heavy equipment ensuring safe, continuous production overnight.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical issues, performing welding and fabrication, and coordinating with operators and maintenance teams to minimize downtime while upholding safety protocols and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Quarry or Industrial Settings is required.
• Strong understanding of heavy equipment and plant systems.
• Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and fix mechanical issues.
• Welding and fabrication abilities for repairs or modifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy mobile equipment and quarry machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and lubrication issues and repair.
• Respond to night-shift breakdowns to restore safe operations.
• Conduct welding, fabrication, cutting, and mechanical repairs as needed.
